Bürgerweide

Bürgerweide is a large area located in the immediate vicinity of the main train station in Bremen, Germany. In the past, the area served as a meadow, which is reflected in its name: «Weide» refers to a pasture where the townspeople, or «burghers,» could graze two to four cows. Nowadays, Bürgerweide is famous for the annual Bremer Freimarkt, which attracts many visitors.
