Description
The Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, located on Tsitsernakaberd Hill in Yerevan, Armenia, is a key venue for a variety of cultural and sporting events. Also known as Demirchyan Arena or Hamalir, the facility features two large halls—one for concerts and one for sporting events—making it a versatile venue for events of any size and format.
Since its opening in 1983, the complex has undergone several renovations, transforming it into a modern, international-level arena. In 1999, it was named after Karen Demirchyan in honor of his significant contribution to the construction and restoration of the facility.
The complex hosts many significant events. Among them are the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and 2022, as well as the Russian-language premiere of the musical Sunset Boulevard in 2023. Every September, the region's largest trade and industrial exhibition forum, Armenia EXPO, is held here.
Those wishing to attend the complex's events can purchase tickets. The current schedule and poster can be found on our website, which will help you plan your visit to the events of interest in advance.
