Muse

Muse are an English rock band formed in 1994 in Teignmouth, Devon. The band consists of three talented musicians: Matthew Bellamy (vocals, guitar, keys), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion). Since their inception, Muse have won the hearts of millions of fans around the world thanks to their unique sound and energetic live performances.

The band's debut album, Showbiz, was released in 1999 and immediately attracted attention with its melancholic style of alternative rock and Bellamy's falsetto. The second album, Origin of Symmetry (2001), expanded the band's musical horizons, incorporating elements of romantic music and broader instrumentation. The album cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting live acts around.

In 2003, Muse released Absolution, which gave them the first of seven consecutive UK number one albums. Black Holes and Revelations (2006) incorporated electronica and pop elements, bringing the band international success. The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) continued to explore themes of state oppression and civil uprising, cementing Muse's status as one of the biggest stadium acts.

Drones (2015) was a concept album about drone warfare that returned the band to a harder rock sound. In 2018, Muse released Simulation Theory, a synth-heavy, sci-fi-inspired album. Their latest album, Will of the People (2022), draws on many of the genres and themes of their previous work.

Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012, they were awarded the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement. As of June 2016, they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
