The Legend Comes to Life: KINO with the concert "The History of This World" in Phuket
The main attraction of the concert is Viktor Tsoi's voice. Thanks to the efforts of sound engineers, who carefully digitized the vocals from the original multichannel recordings, it sounds so powerful and pure that it feels as if the leader of KINO himself is invisibly present on stage, filling the arena with his energy. Alongside him are his loyal companions – legendary guitarist Yuri Kasparyan and two bass players from different periods of the band: Alexander Titov and Igor Tikhomirov. Their virtuosity, drive, and signature sound perfectly complement Tsoi's timeless voice.
The goal of the show is to imagine what KINO might have sounded like in the 21st century, and the creators have accomplished this brilliantly. The program includes over 30 compositions and is divided into three parts. It takes viewers through the band's entire history: from the early stages with bassist Alexander Titov to the later period with Igor Tikhomirov. In the third part, both musicians perform together on the same stage.
A unique video sequence has been prepared for this concert, combining archival footage, rare footage, and contemporary video art with elements of 3D graphics. Images of a young Tsoi, clips from music videos, and footage from the 1980s come to life on huge screens, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and connection to a great era. A spectacular light show completes the effect, transforming the concert into a world-class event.
You'll hear all the iconic hits—such as "Blood Type," "A Star Called Sun," and "A Pack of Cigarettes"—that you've long known by heart. There will also be surprises: songs that have never been performed in concert before.
