F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi: Metallica is the main headliner!

On December 6, the legendary band Metallica will once again take to the stage in the United Arab Emirates, marking their third performance in the country. Their debut show took place in 2011 on Yas Island, and their second was a huge success in 2013, gathering a full house of spectators. Now, more than a decade later, the band returns in December 2025.

Metallica is deservedly considered one of the most significant and commercially successful bands in the history of heavy metal. Since their formation in 1981, they have sold over 150 million copies of albums worldwide. Their latest, 11th studio album, 72 Seasons, was released in 2023, was highly acclaimed by critics and won a Grammy Award in 2024 for Best Metal Album. The band are currently in the midst of their M72 World Tour, which is now in its third year and has been breaking attendance records, particularly in North America.

Post-race concerts by world-famous musicians have become an integral part of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In previous years, the Yas Marina stage has hosted such titans of rock as Muse and Foo Fighters. The success of these events is undeniable: over 190,000 people visited the Yas Marina circuit over the four days of the 2024 Grand Prix alone, many of whom came to see the concerts.
