The 17th stage of Formula 1 will take place in Azerbaijan in September!

The upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix promises to be one of the most spectacular events of the Formula 1 season. Having started in 2017, after the race was rebranded from the European Grand Prix, this event finds its place on the Baku City Circuit. The unique track, combining long straights and narrow turns of the ancient city, becomes a real test for both pilots and engineers. Teams have to find the perfect balance between high speed and maneuverability, which requires painstaking car setup. Baku City Circuit is considered one of the most difficult tracks: its narrowness and speed force drivers to take risks. The track passes through the historical center of Baku, skirting the medieval walls of Icheri Sheher. Here, pilots must exercise maximum caution in narrow turns, where overtaking is almost impossible and the slightest mistake can lead to a collision with the walls. In addition to the racing, the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will also be a showcase for cutting-edge automotive technology.

The Baku circuit has already seen victories by drivers such as Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. However, only Sergio Perez has managed to climb to the top step of the podium twice - in 2021 and 2023. This year, he intends to once again compete for victory at the Baku City Circuit, especially since his contract with the Red Bull team has been extended until the end of the 2026 season.

Sergio Perez is a Mexican racing driver for the Red Bull Racing team. He has previously driven for Sauber, McLaren, Force India and Racing Point. He achieved his first Formula 1 victory at the Sakhir Grand Prix in 2020 after a record 190 starts without a win. He took his first pole position at the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after participating in 215 races without achieving this achievement. During his career, Perez has proven himself to be a reliable driver, capable of bringing points to the team even in unfavorable conditions. His strengths include the ability to competently manage tires and make strategic decisions, which allows him to take high positions even with an unfavorable start. The move to Red Bull Racing in 2021 was an important milestone for Perez: he got the opportunity to drive for one of the strongest teams in the championship and fight for high places.

In addition to racing battles, spectators can expect performances from world stars.
