Legendary rock band Metallica to perform in Abu Dhabi at Formula 1 event

Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Along with bands such as Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, they formed the so-called "Big Four" of thrash metal, winning the hearts of fans around the world. Having moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco at the suggestion of guitarist Cliff Burton, who had a musical education and made significant contributions to the development of the band, they sought to play louder and faster. With their unique energy on stage, they quickly became popular in the local underground heavy rock scene. Despite initial difficulties with distribution due to the provocative title "Metal up your ass", the album was renamed "Kill 'Em All" and became the basis for a new genre - thrash metal. Although commercial success did not come immediately, the band found its audience.

As their popularity grew, it became obvious that Johnny Zazula could no longer support the band financially. Their second album, "Ride the Lightning", recorded in Denmark in 1984 on a budget of $30,000, brought the band recognition and commercial success. However, real fame came with the third album, "Master of Puppets", which sold millions of copies thanks to live performances, not radio broadcasts.

Over the years, "Metallica" has released eleven studio albums and won millions of fans around the world. Their music has become iconic and is used in films and computer games. The album "Master Of Puppets" was even included in the National Recording Registry of the United States as culturally significant.
